The relationship between body mass index and anti-mullerian hormone levels in reproductive-age women; is there a negative correlation?
The relationship between serum AMH levels, and BMI has been investigated primarily in the context of women with PCOS. Previous findings suggest that women <35yo with PCOS and a concomitant elevated BMI have significantly lower AMH than those with a normal BMI. There is limited data pertaining to the relationship between AMH and BMI independent of PCOS, especially in women ≥35yo, as well as on IVF and pregnancy outcomes related to the possible correlation and impact of AMH and BMI on one another.
