Recurrent implantation failure is another indication for the freeze-all strategy

Magdi and colleagues (1) provide an interesting and timely report of a prospective quasi-randomized controlled clinical trial comparing a freeze-all strategy to a fresh transfer strategy in 171 patients diagnosed with recurrent implantation failure in a 30-month period. Cryopreservation was by blastocyst vitrification and the main outcome measure was ongoing pregnancy at 20 weeks of gestation. In this study (1), 38.4% of patients in the freeze all group achieved ongoing pregnancy, as did 20.7% of patients in the fresh transfer group.
