As oncology treatment continues to improve, long-term survival is now the expectation for many reproductive-age patients who receive a cancer diagnosis. With this progress comes the hope for future fertility, making discussion of the option of fertility preservation (FP) an essential component to the cancer diagnosis and treatment process.
