Bologna criteria: clinically or academically relevant?

Bologna criteria: clinically or academically relevant?
In the study published in this issue of Fertility and Sterility, Boza et al. highlight a lack of use of the Bologna criteria (BC) in studying poor ovarian response (POR) (1, 2). Since its inception in 2011, only 51% of studies that published on POR used the BC. This is a relevant issue that should prompt us, as clinician-scientists, to pause and consider the importance of using society-developed criteria for research purposes and in the clinical setting.
